At a time where every act of kindness matters, the Everyone Deserves a Home Compassion Campaign highlighted how we can all make a difference in people's lives - from small acts of compassion to being part of the affordable workforce housing solution in Ventura County. This weeklong virtual celebration, June 1-5, included compelling Facebook Live presentations, powerful videos, celebrity performances in our #LivingRoomLounge, #CompassionInAction across our community, and more!
We raised over $45,000 for Affordable Workforce Housing in Ventura County
For too many, housing is not guaranteed. The lack of available affordable housing in Ventura County negatively impacts the quality of life for – farmworkers, veterans, public safety officers, low-income families, people with disabilities, the elderly, educators, healthcare workers . . . . the list goes on. We can be part of the affordable housing solution in Ventura County.

#Recipe4Home Giveaway
Homes are built on memories, many of which come from family recipes – like grandma’s famous cookies or abuela’s homemade tamales. Everyone deserves a home full of traditions. We asked people to share a family recipe and what it means to them on Facebook, tag @HousingTrustFundVC and include the hashtag, #Recipe4Home, to be entered to win.* One lucky winner was randomly selected from all entries to have their recipe treasured forever on a wooden cutting board. Even though the giveaway is over you can encourage others to build new memories by continuing to share home recipes for others to try. * one entry per Facebook account. Must @ tag Housing Trust Fund VC and include #Recipe4Homes to be entered. One winner randomly selected from all entries received by 11:59pm Friday, June 12, 2020. |
Demonstrate #CompassionInAction
During the Compassion Campaign we challenged the community to complete small acts of compassion. Bring goods to a local food bank. Write someone a encouraging note. Make a donation of any size towards more affordable housing in Ventura County. It never stops being a great time to complete small acts of compassion for your neighbors, family, friends, and members of our community. We hope you'll continue #CompassionInAction year-round. We welcome you to tag us on Facebook (@HousingTrustFundVC) with the hashtag #CompassionInAction when you share acts of compassion so we can share with the community. |
