Here’s why low-cost housing costs so much to build in Ventura County, state

Tony Biasotti of the VC Star interviewed several local affordable housing experts, including Housing Trust Fund VC CEO Linda Braunschweiger who commented, “Affordable housing, historically, has been a very safe investment.” Those interviewed made the point that the best thing state and local policymakers can do to lower costs is make it easier to get housing approved and built quickly.
