Housing Trust Fund Ventura County (Housing Trust Fund VC) secured regional support as four cities in Ventura County have allocated $700,000 in funding over 2025 and 2026 towards Housing Trust Fund VC’s Revolving Loan Fund. The four cities are Moorpark, Ventura, Fillmore, and Santa Paula. These commitments are a demonstration of each city’s dedication to housing affordability for all residents in Ventura County and trust in Housing Trust Fund VC’s vision for the future of affordable housing. Since 2013, all ten cities in Ventura County have pledged or contributed to Housing Trust Fund VC or their sister organization, Housing Land Trust Ventura County.

Housing Trust Fund Ventura County’s “Founding Mother” recognized by California Association of Realtors® Dawn Dyer, Chair Emeritus and “Founding Mother” of Housing Trust Fund Ventura County (Housing Trust Fund VC), has received the 2025 Champions of Home Impact Award from the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.). She was recently honored at C.A.R.’s annual REimagine! Conference & Expo in Chula Vista, California, on Wednesday, September 17th. This prestigious award honors REALTORS® who make a lasting difference in their communities, and Dyer’s transformative contributions to affordable housing in Ventura County exemplify that mission. As part of the recognition, Dyer designated Housing Trust Fund VC to receive a $5,000 donation from C.A.R. in support of its work. ~ Breaks fundraising record for fourth straight year ~ Housing Trust Fund Ventura County (Housing Trust Fund VC) announced that its 6th Annual Compassion Campaign raised record breaking funds for the fourth consecutive year. Held on Thursday, September 4th at Walnut Grove at Tierra Rejada Farms in Moorpark and supported in part by Keystone Sponsor HOPE (Housing Opportunities for People Everywhere), the evening brought together more than 200 community leaders, advocates and supporters to “RAISE THE ROOF” for affordable housing in Ventura County. Housing Trust Fund Ventura County (Housing Trust Fund VC) has been awarded $5,000,000 from the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) as part of the Regional Early Action Plan (REAP 2.0). The funding will support the development of the Housing Trust Fund Ventura County’s Revolving Long-Term Loan Program for Infill Affordable Housing Developments. This program will establish a long-term loan program and will increase the non-profit’s lending capacities by offering residual receipts loans that will extend 15-18 years. The grant includes $500,000 for Housing Land Trust Ventura County (Housing Land Trust VC) to create policies and procedures and to support marketing, legal, and community outreach. Additionally, grants totaling $150,000 have been received from U.S. Bank, Mechanics Bank, and First Citizens Bank.
Housing Trust Fund Ventura County (Housing Trust Fund VC) announced that its 6th Annual Compassion Campaign will feature two guest speakers Dr. John Nunes, President of California Lutheran University and Giorgio Angelini, Director of OWNED: A Tale of Two Americas. Angelini is currently developing a documentary adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning book Evicted, produced by actor Chris Pine.
