MEET OUR CEO
Linda Braunschweiger has built a 30+ year career in finance, affordable housing development, non-profit management and business, spending many years in public affairs and lobbying at the federal, state and local levels. Early in her career, Linda worked in Washington D.C. for the White House and U.S. Senate. After years in the corporate environment (primarily banking and finance), she launched Braunschweiger & Associates (B&A) in 1999. Linda's firm assists clients with affordable housing policy strategies and financing, strategic planning, and nonprofit management. Braunschweiger & Associates has represented financial institutions, non-profits, local municipalities, housing authorities, and industry trade organizations.
In 2010 Linda became the contract founding CEO of Housing Trust Fund Ventura County, and a full-time employee in 2017. In this role, she has helped orchestrate the formation of Housing Trust Fund VC, raising over $6M in public, private, and charitable funds, and funding $9M in short term loans, producing 365 new affordable workforce housing units. Braunschweiger manages and guides a 19-member Board of Directors and is the primary visionary for the strategic direction of the Housing Trust Fund VC. Under her leadership, the nonprofit has become a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) at the Federal and State level. Linda Braunschweiger is an affordable housing advocate and a recognized leading voice of housing for all in Ventura County. Over the years, Linda has sat on numerous nonprofit Boards. Today, she is the Vice Chair of House Farm Workers!; Chair of the Camarillo Work Force Housing Committee; Member of the Ventura County Continuum of Care; and Board Member for Young Life Camarillo. Linda Braunschweiger has a BA in Speech Communications and Industrial Psychology and an MBA with a focus in Public Policy. She lives in Camarillo with her two children. |
